You can contact BPD anonymously through our Text to Tip system, tip411. This system allows the public to anonymously text crime tips to the department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The system also supports the sending and receiving of images and videos as well. The department has no ability to identify the sender. Standard text messaging rates do apply.

Simply text the number 847411 by texting the word "BPDTIPS", then a space, followed by your tip information. As time allows, a staff member will interact with you via text and may ask additional questions. This system is not monitored 24/7.

While Text to Tip is the preferred method, you may utilize the web form below to report crime tips. Once you leave this page, the session will be terminated and there is no way for further conversation. This form also accepts the attachment of images, videos and files.
