The Cyber Crimes Unit is dedicated to the recovery, analysis, and preservation of digital evidence in criminal investigations. As technology advances, more crimes involve electronic devices, such as computers, smartphones, tablets, and other digital media. Cyber Crimes Unit plays a crucial role in ensuring that digital evidence - whether from personal devices, online activity, or cloud-based platforms - can be effectively recovered, analyzed, and used to support criminal investigations and legal proceedings.

The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and techniques to extract and examine data from a wide range of digital sources. This includes recovering deleted files, tracing internet activity, decrypting encrypted data, and identifying digital footprints left by suspects.  

Detectives work to ensure the integrity and admissibility of evidence, following strict protocols to preserve the chain of custody and maintain the accuracy of findings. 

The Cyber Crimes Unit is involved in investigating a variety of crimes, including:
