The Neighborhood Focus Team is comprised of three officers with a primary focus on towing, animal complaints, code enforcement, and sex offender and violent offender compliance.

PACE Liaison Officer

Works closely with PACE to assist them with code enforcement as needed to include inspection and information sharing
Address concerns with regard to complaints related to City Code resulting in increased calls for service or complaints for the police department
Handles interior and exterior property maintenance violations
Removal of inoperable vehicles on private property
Liaison with the City Legal Department in Administrative Court

Sex Offender Compliance Officer

Responsible for maintaining Sex Offender Registration records
Responsible for maintaining Child Murder and Violent Offender Against Youth Registration records.
Liaison with CSO's and oversees their Sex Offender Registration activities
Stay up to date on legislation and court findings in regard to Sex Offender and Child Murder and Violent Offender Against Youth Registration and enforcement
Oversee compliance checks on registered offenders
Conduct compliance checks on select registrants
Maintain SOPs and Forms for all registration and compliance activities
Investigate violations of Sex Offenders and Violent Offender Registrants

Towing and Animal Complaint Officer

Oversee the tagging/towing of abandoned vehicles on City property and streets
Maintain records of all towed vehicles
Work with towing contractor in all things related to towing of vehicles
Review requests for tow impound fee refunds for eligibility
Attend Vehicle Impound administrative hearings
Liaison with City Legal and citizens regarding tow related inquiries
Conduct auction of towed vehicle when eligible
Oversee general issues related to dog bites
Assure compliance with City Code regarding animals
Verify declared dogs are being kept in accordance with City Code, post declaration.
